Get Ready For the Oscars With Celebrity Mean Tweets: Movie Edition
George Clooney, Cate Blanchett, Seth Rogen, and Jessica Chastain feed the trolls.
Ahead of Sunday’s Academy Award Ceremony, Jimmy Kimmel invited some red carpet regulars to join his popular “Celebrity Mean Tweets” segment, where the rich, famous, and beautiful are forced to read aloud insulting tweets from trolls living in their parents’ basement.
Oscar (and Emmy) nominees and winners, current and former — like Cate Blanchett, George Clooney, Susan Sarandon, and Richard Dreyfuss — joined in the humiliating fun. Carol Best Actress nominee Blanchett read about her “Play-doh face.” “Gross ratty old man” George Clooney read a message from someone who was incredulous he could get a girl. And Susan Sarandon shot back at someone who was “tired of Susan Sarandon having her big, fat, saggy boobs in my face.” “Aww, you wish,” she said.
And there’s more, from Christoph Waltz, Jessica Chastain, Patricia Arquette and Eddie Redmayne — watch the full segment here:
