Pamela Anderson may not be the young, lifeguard fantasy she was during her Baywatch years, but that doesn't change the fact that she remains one of the most stunning, iconic figures of our collective sexual coming-of-age. In a new, ten-minute short film from award-winning fashion photographer Luke Gilford, she takes on the role of a fitness instructor struggling to find a sense of balance and self acceptance.
Given the film's quick run-time, you'd be surprised to find it contains an awful lot of substance. Set in the not-so-distant future, the short addresses the age-old goal of achieving inner peace by weighing the struggle to maintain an attractive outer appearance against the the desire to have healthy social connections with others. These ideas combined, with some truly striking cinematography, make for a very enjoyable time spent with Pam.
If this is the type of work we can expect from Anderson in 2016, we say keep it coming.
