Holy moly! Pope Benedict XVI announced today that he will retire at the end of the month after eight years on the job, citing age and declining health. He’s the first pope in 600 years to do so, which means this is pretty huge news. Huge enough that individuals on something called “the Internet” have some comments about the situation.
