Legendary musician Prince was taken to an Illinois hospital early Friday morning after his private jet made an emergency landing at Quad City International Airport in Moline, TMZ reports.
The 57-year-old singer was reportedly suffering from a bout of the flu, Reuters reports. A representative stated that Prince "had performed in Atlanta on Thursday despite not feeling well from the flu, and felt worse after boarding a plane following his concert."
It's unclear which hospital Prince was rushed to in Moline. The closest hospital to the Quad City airport is Trinity Regional Health System, but a hospital staffer told Maxim that the musician had not been admitted there.
We will update this story with more details as they become available.
