Watch the Badass First Trailer for Quentin Tarantino’s The Hateful Eight

Bounty hunters and blizzards always make for a good time.

“Eight strangers, one deadly connection” sounds like it should be the premise of one highly entertaining reality show. Instead, it’s the plot for The Hateful Eight, Quentin Tarantino’s latest Western about eight outlaws—the Bounty Hunter, the Hangman, the Prisoner, the Sheriff, the Mexican, the Little Man, the Cow Puncher, the Confederate—whose names just hint at the sort of trouble they’re going to get into. In typical Tarantino fashion we’ve got a killer background music, recurring actors like Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Madsen, and Zoë Bell, and the capacity for a lot of ass-kicking.

The Hateful Eight will hit select theaters on Christmas Day, then released widely on January 8th. When the animated teaser trailer (link here) is so bloody, we can only imagine what the full-length film will be like.
