Watch the Terrifying New Trailer For ‘Resident Evil 7: Biohazard’

This is the stuff of nightmares.

The Resident Evil survival horror franchise began delivering its own brand of terrifying thrills well before post-apocalyptic tales of the living dead were so ubiquitous, and the trailer for the upcoming “Twilight” demo for Resident Evil 7 just might be the scariest thing we’ve seen from the series.

This could be because its running with breathtakingly real HDR visuals delivered by the PS4 Pro and Xbox One S. As gamers explore the derelict Baker mansion in this playable preview of Resident Evil 7, they’ll be left to fend for themselves as they’re pitted against brain-hungry zombies—and whatever other hellish adversaries the game’s developers have conjured up.

The demo will arrive September 17, a few months before the full game hits shelves January 24, 2017. A  price hike from $79.99 to $89.99 for the deluxe version of the game was also announced, which will also include a season pass that allows for three different story expansions. 

The game will be fully playable on all Xbox One and Playstation 4 consoles, but the HDR visuals of the newest versions of each give the game the high-res visuals that have us anxiously waiting to kick some zombie ass.
