Whenever there’s an opportunity to make hundreds of thousands of dollars by playing video games, we feel a certain obligation to share it with you guys…and our families…and friends…and anyone who will listen, really. MLB2K13 arrives March 5th, and with it comes 2K Sports’ fourth annual Perfect Game Challenge. In the past, one gamer with a golden glove and equally golden thumbs would win the entire million dollar prize for pitching a perfect game in MLB2K. This year, 2K Sports is spreading the love (and cash) around a little further by changing the format. During the entire month of April, any gamer who pitches a perfect game while playing MLB2K13 will be automatically added to the leaderboard of the team they used to pitch that game. At the end of the month, the player at the top of each team’s leaderboard will win $25K. 30 teams, 30 winners, $750,000. Then, in July, the four gamers who top the overall perfect game leaderboard will compete in a tournament to win the $250,000 grand prize. So stop boning other things and start boning up on your screwball because, when the contest starts on April 1st, video game baseball gets serious…and seriously profitable.
