Ronda Rousey Would Like to Remind You That Yes, She’s That Jacked

Leave Ronda’s biceps alone.

Ronda Rousey posted an apology to Instagram on Thursday for inadvertently sharing a picture in which her arm was photoshopped to look smaller than it really is. The photo was provided to her by someone at The Tonight Show and Rousey posted it before realizing her bicep had been reshaped. Here’s a side-by-side with the original and the Photoshopped version.

“This goes against everything I believe and I am extremely proud of every inch of my body,” she wrote alongside the above pic, blaming the mistake on someone with “severely misplaced positive intentions.”

Rousey’s often gone out of her way to make it clear that she’s comfortable with her body, which some fools have criticized for being too masculine. In one of Rousey’s most famous moments outside of the Octagon, she called her body “femininely bad-ass as fuck,” adding that “just because my body was developed for a purpose other than fucking millionaires doesn’t mean it’s masculine.”

That’s the famous “do nothing bitch” speech that led to millions in merch sales and movie deal with Tina Fey, so it’s not a stretch to suggest that Rousey’s brand depends on honesty and pride as it relates to her body. That explains why she was so eager to post the corrected version of the picture.

Rousey’s arms may not look like those of actresses who typically appear on The Tonight Show, but there’s a reason for that: Rousey uses her arms for much more looking good on TV.
