Pour One Out for Sammi Sweetheart, Who Won’t Be Returning for the ‘Jersey Shore’ Reunion

Bet you can guess why.

A yet-to-be-filmed Jersey Shore reboot is set to premiere in 2018, but Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola doesn’t want any part of it.  

On a recent podcast episode of It’s Happening With Snooki and Joey, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi speculated that Giancola chose not to return because the reality star wants to avoid any messiness with her ex-boyfriend, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro.  

“Sammi is just in such a happy place that I feel like she doesn’t want to jump back into that drama if it does happen,” Polizzi said.

“Being that there was a lot of Ron and Sam drama when we did film, it was just really hard on both of them. So I just think she doesn’t want that anymore.”

Giancola did participate in Reunion Road Trip: Return to the Jersey Shore, which premiered earlier this year. A source told E! in August that Ortiz-Magro was left out for a similar reason.

Cast members Deena Nicole Cortese, Paul “Pauly D” Delvecchio, Jenni “JWOWW” Farley, Vinny Guadagnino, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro are all expected to return for Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.
