Ghost in the Shell, the upcoming Scarlett Johansson sci-fi spectacle, remains one of the most anticipated releases of 2017. Hot off its flashy Super Bowl teaser, the Japanese magna adaption just debuted a new full-length trailer.
While the trailer duly presents the premise—ScarJo as a human/cyborg hybrid on the hunt of cyber terrorists—it feels downright immaterial in the face of all the gleaming visuals on display.
Several highlights include ScarJo flying off buildings over Tokyo-esque skylines, killer geisha robots, and a neon-tinged strip club shootout. It sort of looks like Blade Runner, had the action been ratcheted up and moved to Japan.
Ghost in the Shell hits theaters on March 31.
