West Virginia School on Lockdown After Justin Bieber-Related Incident
All necessary precautions were taken.
The Dunbar Middle School in Dunbar, West Virginia, was placed on lockdown today after a man claiming to be Justin Bieber demanded access to the school intercom.
He wanted to sing to the kids.
“It was strange,” said Keith Vititoe, director of security for the county superintendent’s office.
It appears that the would-be singer was not Justin Bieber. According to Vititoe, he was “an African-American man, about 6’2”, and he was wearing a blond wig. He was obviously mentally ill.”
The school was placed on lockdown as a precautionary measure, and the man was taken to a local hospital for psychiatric observation.
Police later identified the man as Dlaonte Dee Lewis and charged him with simple possession for marijuana. Then again, if he actually turns out to be Justin Bieber himself—say, in a Halloween costume—there are going to be a lot of very angry middle schoolers.
