Sean Bean Will Star in A&E’s The Frankenstein Chronicles
Let’s hope the Game of Thrones star can stay alive in the new series.
Frankenstein is coming to television: A&E has acquired the miniseries The Frankenstein Chronicles —with Sean Bean in the lead role.
Bean (Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings) will star as Inspector John Marlott in a “re-imagining” of the Frankenstein story, set in 19th century London. It sounds like it could be pretty gruesome: Inspector Marlott is called to investigate the discovery of a child’s corpse, only to find that “it’s not actually a child, but a grotesque assembly of human body parts.”
But Bean is no stranger to blood and gore. Famous for dying a horrible death in almost every TV and movie appearance he makes, Bean has been beheaded, shot, stabbed, drowned, trampled and even drawn-and-quartered before. Let’s see if he survives the six episodes of The Frankenstein Chronicles.
