The pace with which Star Wars mania is arriving has been relentless. First, the teaser for The Last Jedi had fans dusting off their Kylo Ren helmets.
Now, the first full-length trailer for EA's Star Wars Battlefront II to give gamers something to look forward to.
The trailer promises a fully immersive experience, as thrilling as what you've seen in the film installments. EA offered the following synopsis:
Live the untold Star Wars story of Iden, an elite Stormtrooper, in an original single-player story. Battle on land and in space in an expanded multiplayer experience with iconic heroes and villains, thrilling space battles, and a deep progression and customization system.
There are also some recognizable villains running amuck.
In short, gamers can expect a continuation of Battlefront I. Still, EA has thrown a curveball by axing its "season pass" system, which offers all downloadable content for a discounted price.
Battlefront 2 creative director Bernd Dierner spoke with Mashable about pulling the plug.
We don't have a season pass…When we looked at the way Battlefront had evolved over its lifetime, with the DLC and everything, we decided, 'You know what? For this type of game, season passes are not the best thing. We need to [take it apart] and come up with something better.
EA has yet to announce an alternative to its season pass system. Still, we don't expect any uncertainties to affect sales.
