“Star Wars” Fans Send an X-Wing Into Space to Score Tickets to “The Force Awakens” Premiere

High marks for effort, but will J.J. Abrams listen?

Two “Star Wars” fans in England are pretty excited for the new installment of the beloved sci-fi series. They are so excited, in fact, they sent a toy into space in an effort to win the attention of “The Force Awakens” director J.J. Abrams.

We have to admit, the effect looks pretty cool.

The video was made by Project Helium Tears, a two-person group from England that uses “a giant weather balloon, photographs the Earth from the edge of Space then retrieves the camera and data.” Here’s hoping J.J. listens! Or, at least sends these guys a new X-Wing.
