Here Are All The New Trailers That Debuted During the Super Bowl
From “Baywatch” to “The Fate of the Furious”, revisit the best trailers of the Big Game.
Aside from Lady Gaga’s insane half-time performance and the customary beer ads, there were plenty of other side attractions at Super Bowl LI. Chief among them were the new summer-blockbuster trailers that got play during the commercial breaks.
The new Baywatch trailer packed plenty of action… as well as laughs. C.J.’s slow-mo jog got a self-referential joke, Priyanka Chopra still makes for a lethal bad girl and Zac Efron and The Rock provide the only #gymgoals you’ll need in 2017.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 got an extended TV spot, which ran through all the various characters of the galactic action/comedy flick. Zoe Saldana is still mean in green, as Gamora, and Chris Pratt is still ready with plenty of one-liners as Star-Lord.
We got to see a bit more of Charlize Theron’s villainous character in a new trailer for The Fate of the Furious. She’s so good at being bad she managed to convince Dominic to go rogue.
Scarlett Johansson gave us a taste of her lethal cyborg character in a Ghost in the Shell TV spot. The film, an adaption from a Japanese magna, has the feel of Blade Runner meets The Matrix.
The Transformers 5 trailer seems moodier than previous entries, perhaps suggesting Michael Bay’s latest sequel may be more than Victoria’s Secret models and Autobot action.

Another sequel, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, had pirates walking on water, maritime warfare and more idiosyncrasies from Captain Jack Sparrow.
