Super Troopers 2 Is Officially Happening and We Have the Photos to Prove It

Brace yourselves: Vermont’s funniest police officers are back on patrol.


Following a dynamite crowdfunding push which raised more than $4.5 million in Indiegogo’s most successful campaign ever, the boys of Broken Lizard are on set in Massachusetts shooting the sequel to the zany 2001 comedy.

While Jay Chandrasekhar (Arcot “Thorny” Ramathorn), Paul Soter (Jeff Foster), Steve Lemme (MacIntyre “Mac” Womack), Erik Stolhanske (Robert “Rabbit” Roto), and Kevin Heffernan (Rodney “Rod” Farva) began principal photography on October 23rd just outside Boston, the crew seems inclined to avoid other crowdsourcing disasters and remind fans that, yes, their money is going to an actual motion picture.

To that end, the fine troopers of the Vermont State Police are rewarding their loyal fans with some on-set shots of the cast:

The film, set to be released by Fox Searchlight Pictures, doesn’t have a release date yet, but that’s quite alright. In the meantime, you can satiate get your Super Troopers fix right meow with this sequel announcement video.
