When Jaws first hit theaters in June, 1975, one of the movie’s many chilling taglines was “Don’t go in the water.” The creative minds running the Alamo Drafthouse in Austin, Texas have found a fun way to turn that warning on its head: outdoor showings of the horror classic at the Volente Beach Water Park with the audience floating lazily on the surface of Lake Travis.

That’s right, for $55 you get the usual selection of snacks, beer, and a chance to have fun at the other water park amusements before settling in the watch Jaws. In the water.

Of course, Lake Travis is an inland body of fresh water, and there’s no danger of some toothy underwater predator stealthily plucking moviegoers from their inner tubes.

But the fun thing about Jaws is how it still maintains its power to make you at least pause for a moment before dipping a toe in, so this seems like an ideal way to watch the movie.

So if you’re in Texas or visiting and have the chance, get to a screening of Jaws On the Water between June 30th and July 23. It’ll be totally safe to go on in and float around and have fun—this time.
