Long before Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson became Hollywood’s highest-paid blockbuster actor of all time, he was a 6-foot-5-inch 280-pound linebacker in the Canadian Football League—and we’ve got the picture to prove it. 

Following a successful collegiate football career with the Miami Hurricanes, The Rock joined the Calgary Stampeders. He was cut after just two months, but his former team still held on to this truly hilarious old headshot. 

The image eventually made its way around to the man himself, who took the opportunity to add context with a colorful reflection. 

“6’5 280lbs of hungry nightmare (or thirsty dream pending one’s perspective). Also not sure why I thought shaving my goatee but keep my beard was a good choice, “Johnson tweeted. “Someone throw chunky smiles over here another waffle.”
