The Rock Returned to WWE Raw and It Was Absolutely Electrifying

“The weed is good in Miami tonight.”

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson returned home on Monday night in more ways than one. Not only was he back in Miami, his adopted hometown, but he was back on WWE’s Raw, the Monday night mainstay that he dominated for years. 

Like most of The Rock’s returns to the world of wrestling, this one started with more words than body slams. The Rock spent five minutes walking through the bowels of American Airlines Arena, where he ran into old friends and cracked wise on some old enemies.

Once he got out among the people — his people, if you will — The Rock found a moment to go off script and interact with a few fans who showed up dressed in their Monday best. Their enthusiasm led to The Rock’s best line of the night: “The weed is good in Miami tonight.”

But the highlight of The Rock’s return came once he put down the mic. With the help of his cousins, The Usos, the most electrifying man in sports entertainment delivered a couple finishing moves to the highly entertaining weirdoes in The New Day before walking off stage with a reminder: He’ll be back in the ring again at Wrestlemania 32 — and you should plan to watch it.
