Watch the New ‘The Walking Dead’ Season 7 Trailer and Welcome Ezekiel and His Pet Tiger, Shiva

Here, kitty, kitty, kitty.

Fans have been sitting in limbo for months since The Walking Dead ended its sixth season without showing us which of our favorite zombie killers had their skull crushed by Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and his favorite barbed wire-wrapped baseball bat, Lucille.

And while the brand new trailer for season 7, which debuted over the weekend during San Diego Comic-Con, provided little detail about whose life ended with Lucille’s crushing blow, it did promise some new characters, brand new locations, and a whole lot more blood and guts when the show returns in the fall.

The biggest takeaway: Ezekiel (Khary Payton), a former zookeeper who commands rule over an area known only as the Kingdom, will make his debut. With a scepter in one hand and his enormous cat, Shiva, at his side, it seems like Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and the gang may finally have found their answer to who – or what – will help to take down Negan and the Saviors.

The Walking Dead returns to AMC on October 23.
