The Detroit Lions have acquired Norwegian kicker Havard Rugland, the “Kickalicious” Internet phenomenon.

According to Tim Twentyman of Lions.com, Rugland was brought in on Thursday:

“The team signed Norwegian kicking sensation Havard Rugland to a contract Thursday to compete for their kicking job left vacant by Jason Hanson’s retirement. Terms of the deal were not known. Rugland will compete with newly signed David Akers for the job. Both players are left-footed, which should make it easy on the holders this offseason.”

Some may not be familiar with Rugland, but know this: His ball-control skills with a football cannot justifiably be described in words.
