Watch Emma Stone Out Emma Stone Herself in the Aloha Trailer
She’s a plucky Air Force babe with a heart of gold and a really great conditioner.
Cameron Crowe hasn’t made a movie in four years – not since the absurdly-titled We Bought a Zoo. Now, he’s back in the game with Aloha, a romantic comedy with an aggressively star-studded cast. The trailer opens with Alec Baldwin yelling (a skill he’s refined over the years) at Bradley Cooper, a military contractor who screwed up an assignment. Cooper’s sent back to his old stomping grounds in Hawaii to work for Bill Murray, who would probably be a way better boss than Alec Baldwin anyway. While overcoming tension with an ex (Rachel McAdams), he starts to fall for a young Air Force pilot, played by Emma Stone. The character is energetic, mouthy, and no-bullshit. In other words: It’s a typical Emma Stone role.
Even if it’s all terrible, we can at least count on Danny McBride, the hapless best friend, for comic relief.
