Watch Yasiel Puig Make a Ridiculous Catch
Who knew the Los Angeles Dodger slugger could play this kind of defense?
Since he debuted with the L.A. Dodgers last June, Yasiel Puig has been one of baseball’s big stories, but mostly for his prodigious skill with a bat. Last night, at the Mets’ Citifield, he showed he can also flash some leather, robbing Wilmer Flores of a double with a leaping backhand stab in deep right center and somehow not breaking his wrist in the process. Now, not to be picky or anything, but couldn’t he have gotten the throw back into first a little faster to double off the slow-footed Lucas Duda?
