Donald Trump’s combover returns, and Miley Cyrus invades “SNL.” It’s pretty cool.
There’s a lot of TV options to choose from. Too much for any one person to completely monitor, but that doesn’t mean we’re not going to do our best to sift through all the listings and figure out what you should be watching every week…with all the highlights, lowlights and guilty pleasures you can stand.
Monday, Feb. 28th
9:00 p.m. Top Gear (BBC America)
After going through the pros and cons of some used cars, the Top Gear boys will be hosting comedians Simon Pegg and Nick Frost (above) at the track. Hopefully we’ll get some info on their upcoming alien comedy Paul, and get to see the pair do some driving that would make their Hot Fuzz counterparts jealous.
Wednesday, March 2nd
12:37 a.m. The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson (CBS)
We’re big fans of the “hot and funny” combination, so Tuesday night/Wednesday morning’s episode of The Late Late Show should be a bullseye. First up, host Craig Ferguson chats up Carla Gugino, who fits nicely under both categories. Up next? The hilarious Tom Lennon from Comedy Central’s Reno 911. And The State. And the handful of funny scenes in that 17 Again movie.
Friday, March 4th
9:00 p.m. Flying Wild Alaska (Discovery Channel)
Hey, here’s a bit of free advice: Don’t live anywhere where you need vital items flown in so you don’t die. That’s just insane. Anyway, if you choose not to take said advice, give Flying Wild Alaska a screening to see how the other half lives. The show follows a series of pilots who are tasked with moving people and things from one part of the gigantic state to the other.

11:00 pm. Friday Night Alright (VH1)
British belter Adele’s sophomore effort, 21, shifted from the more soul-oriented tracks of her debut into the world of roots and country music. She’ll be showcasing her new tunes and a few others on this special, subtitled “Adele Unplugged.” Plus, she cleans up much, much better than Amy Winehouse. Meaning: She’s clean.
Saturday, March 5th
11:30 p.m. Saturday Night Live (NBC)
We’re not expecting impressive results from this week’s host Miley Cyrus, but there’s still some hope she’ll bring the legitimate funny and not strictly that perfectly honed Hannah Montana cheesy nonsense. Oh, and The Strokes are playing, a band whose last big hit was Shia LaBeouf wearing their T-shirt throughout the first Transformers movie.
THE SILVER LINING
Sunday, March 6th
9:00 p.m. Celebrity Apprentice (NBC)
The desire to make jokes about this latest group of celebrities not really being all that famous is strong, but after looking at the list, it’s a pretty formidable (and crazy) group. Meat Loaf, Gary Busey, Lil’ John, Dionne Warwick, David Cassidy, Jose Canseco, La Toya Jackson…the list goes on and on. The previews show Meat and Busey already freaking out on each other. We’re sure Canseco and La Toya will also be fun to watch, something that can’t be said for Donald Trump’s increasingly gravity-defying combover.
COOLEST FOOD SHOW ON TV
Monday, Feb. 28th
9:00 p.m. Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations (Travel Channel)
There’s just inherently cool and, well, kinda weird, about watching an introspective chef travel around the world and experience the food of native people. He sprinkles in some history and some signature sardonic wit. The eighth season kicks off with Bourdain traveling to Haiti, and includes an appearance by Sean Penn (above). Hide your cameras.
