Watch Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd Talk Back to the Future Predictions Over Pie

We’re still waiting on that hoverboard.

Here we are everybody: 2015. The future. Electronic robot party music is the soundtrack to our daily routines, and we carry around tiny supercomputers capable of communication on a global scale in our pockets (even though most of the time we limit our use of them to swiping right on babes).

But as any devout child of the 80’s will tell you, we’re coming up on a specific, important day in our beautiful, chrome future-world: October 21, 2015, the day Marty McFly arrived in the future in the iconic Back to the Future Part II. In recognition of the film, Toyota put together this little spot where the two stars look back and assess its accuracy.

The teaser is meant to warm us up for a longer, five-minute clip that Toyota will drop on the 21st, but it honestly warms our hearts a little to see our old friends Doc and Marty catching up. We’re hoping that the 21st will also bring a Toyota debut of a new flying consumer car prototype. We’ll let you know if it does.
