Working Stiffs

Get ready to slack off with the cast of TV’s best new show.

The stars (and director) of Workaholics, The lo-fi new series about three office-avoiding stoners, tell us why to tune in.

It’s funny ’cause it’s true.

Kyle Newacheck (director):
Our house looked good on-camera, and since we shot the Web series and the pilot there and they both worked, we kept it. There was a little superstition involved.

Blake Anderson: The characters and events on the show are just extensions of us in real life…but Anders’ penis is, of course, simply not that big in reality.

Adam DeVine: Blake, Kyle, and I still live together. I’m probably the worst roommate because I don’t know how to masturbate quietly.

You’ll learn the art of pranking.

Adam:
We prank each other on the show and in real life. I say the pull-my-finger gag never gets old, but instead of just farting, you shit your pants. It’s a prank on everyone, including yourself.

Kyle: I had one of my buddies pose as an obsessed fan and beg Anders to take a picture. He e-mailed it to me so when ’Ders was telling the story, I flipped my computer around and showed him the pic. Got him.

Anders Holm: Nothing beats telling someone that you’re dying. Just classic. It takes work to look that dumb.

Adam: We crank the writing out as a unit. Our group motto is, Leave them wanting less, because we always like to take the joke three steps further than the audience wants us to.

Anders: If it’s funny to see one of us half-naked doing something morally questionable, we go for it.

Success won’t change them.

Adam: We keep each other in check. Our few Web followers (AwesomeCoolGuy2 and Bashire) are both really happy for us.

Blake: Adam has always talked about getting a cape of diamonds with a matching Jet Ski, but

until we’re rich I think we’ll all stay pretty humble.
