Whiskey wizard Jim Murray has named 1792 Full Proof Bourbon as the world's absolute best whiskey

For 17 years running, the esteemed whiskey aficionado has released Jim Murray's Whisky Bible, a book that's considered by many sippers to be gospel.

1792 Full Proof Bourbon

Inside Hook notes that Murray dutifully sampled over 4,700 whiskies from over 30 countries before announcing the front-runners featured in the book's 2020 edition, and America cleaned up with his top three picks.

The winner, Full Proof, weighs in at a whopping 125-proof, 62.5 percent alcohol by volume, making it one of the strongest whiskies on the market. His favorites are listed below, but expect significant mark-ups and short supplies when tracking any of them down.
