Old Bay Hot Sauce Is Here to Heat Up Your Super Bowl Snacks
This fiery liquid take on the classic seafood seasoning is made for game-day comfort food.
McCormick is heating up its beloved Old Bay seasoning blend with a limited-edition hot sauce–just in time for the Super Bowl.
The Baltimore-based spice giant says its new Old Bay Hot Sauce is a splash of classic Chesapeake flavor with a kick of heat that’s sure to warm up game-day comfort food like chicken wings, nachos, and dips, as well as Bloody Marys, chilis, soups and stews.
“Old Bay Seasoning and hot sauce go together like… Well, Old Bay and everything” said Old Bay marketing executive Jill Bay. “Our fans are always super excited to share with us all the ways they’re using the seasoning and celebrating their love of Old Bay. We can’t wait to hear what they think of our new hot sauce.”
The original Old Bay, which comes in an iconic square tin, is a legendarily addictive Mid-Atlantic dry seasoning that’s often used to flavor seafood like steamed blue crabs and shrimp, but loyal fans are known to sprinkle it on everything from french fries and popcorn to burgers and fried chicken. McCormick also produces Franks RedHot, a popular vinegar-and cayenne-based hot sauce.
Priced at $3.49, Old Bay Hot Sauce is available to buy here beginning January 29. If you can’t get it online before the Super Bowl LIV broadcast from Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens kicks off on February 2 at 6:30 p.m. ET, you can always cop a bottle at your local supermarket, including Acme, Giant, Food Lion, Martin’s, Safeway, Wegmans, Weis and more.
