Keep Your Beer Cold In Style With a Refrigerator Fit For an Actual King

This is probably the most luxurious fridge on the market — and with good reason.

For the modern man, there are really two ways to keep your beer cold: a sleek and shiny chrome monster fridge with a bunch of built-in accessories, or some insanely intricate custom icebox like a working GameBoy refrigerator. Both have flash, but neither one of them actually has much style.

That’s where the Fab28 Smeg Refrigerator comes in.

Designed in collaboration with Dolce & Gabbana, the Smeg combines the retro, minimalist sheen of a 1950’s-era icebox with a beautiful Italian mosaic, resulting in the most unique (and luxurious) fridge on the market.

Yes, we know, a fridge is just an appliance, but look at these things! Hand-painted with medieval motifs, each unit comes with its own unique finish festooned with knights, castles, and Sicilian cultural motifs like the Trinacria symbol. With their intricate designs, these refrigerators might feel right at home in the Sistine Chapel (OK, not really, but they are quite beautiful).

If you want one of these gorgeous fridges, start planning now: the production run will be limited to 100 pieces, and the line will debut at Salone del Mobile in Milan next month. There’s no price available yet, but Inside Hook estimates around $2,000 based on similar models currently on the market.

Seriously, toss out that ratty old beer fridge in your study or basement and invest in something with some style. Your wallet probably won’t thank you, but your beer — and your guests — definitely will.
