G-Shock’s high-end line of Frogman dive watches is turning 30 in 2023, an occasion Casio’s rugged brand is celebrating with special anniversary editions.

The first threw it back to the original 1993 design, with a black and gold color scheme, a faithfully recreated face, digital display and a $750 price tag.

But the new GWFA1000APF1 pictured here is the one to have for those looking to make a statement. The carbon monocoque case and layered carbon bezel are rendered in vivid black, orange and blue hues inspired by the poison dart frog, named for the toxic secretions historically used to poison the tips of blowdarts.

In provided art, G-Shock strategically placed an example of the rare Amazonian species atop the polarized flourine band, which changes colors based on lighting conditions. An engraving of the critter also appears in gray on the caseback.

The durable bauble also gets the newer analog movement that debuted on the G-Shock Frogman range in 2020, powered by dual coil motors that facilitate switches between time, dive, tide indicator and other modes.

Additional features include a high-brightness LED backlight, shock resistance, 200 meters of water resistance, magnetic resistance, G-Shock’s Tough Solar power, Multi-Band 6 radio-controlled time adjustment, a Bluetooth mobile link to the G-SHOCK Connected app, dual time, a 1/1-second stopwatch, 24-hour countdown timer, and a daily alarm.
