This Expanding City Window Brings The Outside Inside

Perfect for the urbanite seeking more sky in their life.

Using the topics of sky, light, and air as design premises, Brooklyn-based architect and industrial designer Aldana Ferrer Garcia conceptualized her More Sky project “as an object and a space at the same time, responding to current needs in densely populated cities.”

She plays out three variations on this form-shifting theme: The “hopper” (pictured above) allows the urban denizen to recline back onto the outstretched window and look up. The “casement” provides a panoramic perch for peering around the neighborhood. And the “awning” offers an enhanced downward view.

Ms. Ferrer Garcia is currently seeking investors, as well as engineering, manufacturing and distribution partners to bring these vista-enhancing products to market.

Talk about a room with a view.
