Say farewell to the most interesting man you've ever known. The 10-year ad campaign first launched by Dos Equis in 2006 is about to undergo a major change as actor Jonathan Goldsmith steps down from his esteemed role as "The Most Interesting Man in the World."
Don't start gnashing your teeth and rending your clothes just yet. Marketing executives from Heineken USA, the owner of Dos Equis, have confirmed that the iconic campaign will carry on with a new actor and some some tweaks to its tone.
"There will be elements that are very, very recognizable, that are super iconic to us, but it will have a very fresh take on things,
said vice president of marketing Andrew Katz. "It will not feel like we've just swapped actors." Sure it won't.
