Watch This Madman Sting Himself On Purpose With The Second-Most Painful Insect on Earth
Don’t even think about doing this.
The Tarantula Hawk is a large, blue-tinted wasp native to the American southwest. It’s so hardcore because its name comes from the female wasp’s practice of stunning tarantulas with its sting before laying eggs inside the unfortunate spider.
That sting, as you’d expect, is pretty potent. In fact, according to animal expert Coyote Peterson—the star of this video—the tarantula hawk gives the second most painful sting in the insect world.
So of course, Peterson tries it out.
As you’ll see, the experience proves to be a pretty nasty education for the adventurer.
This may be the first time we’ve ever felt sorry for a tarantula.
