Why Take Viagra When You Can Just Take a Nap?

New research suggests the best sexual aid might be a good night’s sleep.

Sometimes, two good things wrap themselves up in a very well-rested package. As luck would have it, sleeping might be the answer to all your uh, gentlemanly problems. And it would definitely explain the mystery behind morning wood.

It’s common knowledge that sleep deprivation can cause weight gain, mood swings, and shitty memory, but it can also cause erectile dysfunction, and that’s really not worth staying up late for. Luckily, the solution to the problems is as simple as zonking out. 

In her new book, The Sleep Revolution: Transforming Your Life, One Night at a Time, Arianna Huffington goes in depth about how being sleep deprived can take a serious toll on your sex life, and how catching more Z’s “can actually be an alternative to Viagra.”

If the solution to erectile dysfunction really is as simple as taking an extra a nap here and there, it would make a lot of men and their wallets pretty happy, because, as The Cut notes, Viagra is seriously expensive. At $250 to $275 for a pack of ten tablets, it’s for certain that sleeping is a cheaper alternative.
