After saying “no one wants to work these days,” Kardashian responded to the online backlash by sharing saucy photos.

Kim Kardashian’s brash advice imploring her fellow “women in business” to work hard is being blasted by many as hypocritical, just as boyfriend Pete Davidson is feuding with her estranged husband Kanye West.

A Variety profile pegged to the upcoming premiere of Hulu’s The Kardashians (see the trailer above) features members of the Kardashian-Jenner clan discussing their massive success in building lifestyle brands and creating reality TV. But as NBC News notes, many have honed in on a controversial quote from Kim.

“I have the best advice for women in business,” she said. “Get your fucking ass up and work. It seems like nobody wants to work these days.”

Kardashian, whose stakes in KKW Beauty makeup and Skims shapeware recently made her a billionaire, also said she takes umbrage with assumptions that she’s “famous for being famous.”

“We focus on the positive. We work our asses off. If that’s what you think, then sorry. We just don’t have the energy for that. We don’t have to sing or dance or act; we get to live our lives — and hey, we made it. I don’t know what to tell you.”

Twitter users in turn took umbrage with the perceived insensitivity of Kardashian’s statements, and demonstrated as much with hilarious memes.

The memes are also coming in on TikTok, where one users responded from the perspective of someone with a typical day job.

Kardashian hasn’t responded to the backlash directly, but she did tweet a collage of attitude-filled photos captioned with a “black heart” emoji. Uproxx rounded up some choice responses to that as well:
