Watch a Pickup Truck Fly Like a Paper Airplane During a 115-MPH Chase

This is some ‘Dukes of Hazzard’ sh*t.

A high-speed chase ended badly for an 18-year-old fugitive after he was sent careening several feet into the air upon losing control of a stolen pickup in Webster Parish, Louisiana.

Eyewitness Kaleb Gallups caught footage of the chase’s final moments—watch it above.

KSLA reports that Kevonte Dekorey Austin, an escaped work-release participant, drove off during a traffic stop and sent police on a reckless highway chase.

Via KSLA:

“Webster Sheriff Gary Sexton said the events began to unfold when a deputy pulled over the driver of a Toyota Tacoma speeding on U.S. Highway 371.

As the deputy spoke with the driver outside the pickup, the truck’s passenger slid into the driver’s seat and sped off.

Sheriff’s deputies chased Austin at speeds reaching 115 miles per hour heading south on Hwy. 371.

Austin lost control of the Tacoma when it hit spike strips deputies had set out.
The pickup went airborne and landed on a Toyota Corolla parked at a restaurant.”

What’s incredible is that both he and a woman who was inside the Toyota Corolla when the truck crashed into it walked away unscathed.

Austin is back in police custody.
