American Bar at The Savoy, London, England
This place is legendary: Harry Craddock’s Savoy Cocktail Book is the bartender’s bible, and Frank Sinatra used to sneak in after hours to play the piano… if those walls could talk! The menu is like a cocktail history lesson, filled with classics that originated here. When prohibition hit the US, the cocktail big boys headed to London to keep mixing it up, and they changed the game. The whole place is stunning, right down to the glassware they use. Sit at one of the bar stools and watch the barmen in white jackets work their magic; sip one of their cocktails and listen to the live pianist (yes, he takes requests!). Make sure you dress to impress, and then relax in serious style.
