Aston Martin Gets Dark With 2021 DB11 V8 ‘Shadow Edition’
Only 300 of these menacing grand tourers will be made.
Just days after Aston Martin unveiled a particularly menacing DBX SUV done up by its bespoke personalization division, the luxury British automaker announced a similarly dark treatment for the 2021 DB11 grand tourer.
The new Shadow Edition is available on both the coupe or drop-top Volante bodies, but only when paired with the the 503-hp twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8—not the V12.
Numerous exterior components get a gloss black finish, including the splitter, diffuser, anodized sills, wings, hood blades, and 20-inch directional alloy rims. Aston’s iconic wing logo appears in polished black chrome, while the brake calipers are available in either black, red, gray or yellow.
A set of smoked taillights round out the Shadow Edition shell’s standard features, but an optional pack changes the body-colored panels to gloss black, bringing the wicked theme full-circle.
Inside, the GT seats are clad in upgraded Obsidian Black Caithness leather with Contemporary Black Alcantara or Rokona fabric headlining and coarse contrast stitching that matches the color of the brake calipers.
The sports steering wheel can be wrapped in the same material as the seats or Pure Black Alcantara. Each example also gets a black anodized Shadow Edition sill plaque.
Priced at $222,600, the DB11 Shadow Edition is available to order right now. Only 300 examples will be made, so head to Aston’s website to find an authorized dealer quickly if interested.
