The New Dodge Demon Is a Jacked-Up Muscle Car From Hell
This beautiful beast will be even more powerful than the 707 horsepower Hellcat.
Time passes, and with it goes the fearsome supremacy of incredible street machines like the 707-horsepower Dodge Challenger Hellcat. Before its rivals can knock it down, however, Dodge will introduce something even more powerful: the Demon.
Full information will come with the Demon’s debut at the New York International Auto Show in April. What we do know is that the hellacious Demon will lay down faster quarter-mile acceleration times than the Hellcat’s 11.2 seconds on street tires and 10.8 seconds on drag slicks. Basically, this thing is going to be a rip-snorting beast.
“Most cars attempt to be everything to everybody. Then there are the rare few that revel in a single objective, rendering them totally irresistible to a subculture,” gushed Tim Kuniskis, head of Dodge, SRT, Chrysler and FIAT passenger car brands, in a statement announcing the Demon.
“The Dodge Challenger SRT Demon is conceived, designed and engineered for a subculture of enthusiasts who know that a tenth is a car and a half second is your reputation.”
That translates to mean that a tenth of a second is a car length at the end of the quarter mile, and well, your reputation is only what you make it. Buying a Demon will probably help.
