With Great Nitrous Comes Great Responsibility Or Great Crashes
The driver is fine. The car? Not so much.
Drag-racing requires extremes: the most horsepower, the quickest steering, the most steadfast drivers. (Remember, these are cars so fast they require parachutes to come to a stop.) But these superlative machines, pushed to their mechanical limits, race a thin line between control and disaster and unfortunately for the driver of EKanooRacing’s LS-F car, yesterday brought catastrophe. The run starts fine, but the addition of nitrous boost unsettled the car, sending it not just off the track, but over a ten-foot barrier wall. Thankfully, the driver walked away without a scratch and will soon return to toeing that adrenaline-suffused line between triumph and spectacular failure.
