Indian Motorcycle wasted little time in bringing the new FTR Rally across the pond to North America after the scrambler-inspired bike made its debut at EICMA in late 2019.

The FTR Rally is based on the FTR 1200—a production model of a what was originally a custom project bike inspired by the Manufacturer’s Championship-winning Scout FTR750 racer. Its black trellis frame still houses a 1203cc V-twin that produces 123 horsepower and 87 ft-lbs of torque for plenty of low-end acceleration. The front also sports an inverted suspension, and a pair of Brembo brakes provides ample stopping power.

While the FTR 1200 has a bold and mean look, the FTR Rally’s is slightly more nuanced. The saddle is clad in brown aviator leather, and the gas tank’s cover is finished in Titanium Smoke paint that gives the signature Indian Motorcycle headdress graphic a little extra pop.

Instead of blacked-out wheels with chunky spokes, the Rally gets aluminium wire wheels accented by a red pinstripe with stainless steel spokes. The rims are wrapped in Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tires, which are suited to urban riding or light-duty off-road exploring.

Additionally, the FTR Rally is equipped with cruise control, a USB fast charge port, a rally-spec windscreen and new ProTaper handlebars that are two inches higher for improved comfort and handling.

The FTR Rally will start at $13,499, which puts it right in between the base FTR 1200 and its top-end “S” variant price-wise. Visit Indian Motorcycle’s website to learn more and find a local dealer.
