Indian Motorcycle and Traeger Team Up For Bike With Wood-Fire Grill Sidecar
It’s the motorcycle/grill hybrid you never knew you needed.
The two American heritage brands joined forces to create a truly one-of-a-kind bike with a fully functional wood pellet grill attached as its sidecar. It just doesn’t get much more badass than that, folks.
Renowned customizer Thor Drake of Portland’s See See Motorcycles brilliantly melded an Indian Springfield Darkhorse and a Traeger Ironwood Series 885 to create the meaty machine, complete with all of the necessary grilling tools.
Attendees can look forward to seeing the high-octane cooker deliver killer brisket, ribs and pulled pork at the 2019 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota, where it’ll make its official debut.
More details on the build itself will arrive at a two-day demo during the world-famous hog gathering, but we can surmise a fair amount of specs.
Off the lot, the Indian runs a “Thunder Stroke” 111cc V-twin with glossy blacked-out finishes and rides on a menacing 10-spoke front wheel that’s exposed by a flared front fender.
The Traeger is forged from commercial-grade stainless steel and boasts a number of high-tech features, including a digital controller that controls ignition, preheat settings and temps, double side-wall insulation, and Wi-Fi connectivity (cleverly dubbed WiFIRE) that can be utilized to monitor food from a smartphone via an app.
If you make it to Sturgis this year, make sure to check out the Indian x Traeger moto in action on Lazelle and 3rd.
