Italian Police Just Got a 505 HP Cop Car from Alfa Romeo
This should make car chases way more fun.
Applications at Italy’s police academies could quadruple overnight thanks to their new toy courtesy of Alfa Romeo – this Giulia Quadrifoglio QV designed for the Carabinieri, aka the country’s national military police force. Thanks to its Ferrari-sourced 505 hp engine it can hit 0–60 in 3.8 seconds.
Aside from its impressive power, the new whip has some 007-style gadgetry including various touchscreen displays, communications equipment, flashlights, a defibrillator, strobe lights and more. It’s not quite on the level of Dubai’s insane emergency vehicles but pretty sweet stuff nonetheless.
Officers will need to attend a special Alfa driving school to learn how to master it.
It also has a manual transmission, so they better learn how to drive stick…
