The greatest symbol of American awesomeness is back! (Sorry, bald eagle.)

Maxim just drove from New York City to Detroit for one reason: to see, in person, the all-new, seventh generation Corvette. Was it worth a sore back and a full day of crappy rest-stop food? Yes. Yes it was.

The new ‘Vette—which was unveiled last night in a giant warehouse in the middle of Motor City—is the first in decades to be dubbed with the iconic “Stingray” designation. Translation: Chevy is going for broke with this sick new machine (which is also timed to the car’s 60th anniversary). Since words can only do so much, why not ogle some of these just-released images. And try not to drool on your keyboard.
