The Mercedes AMG Vision Gran Turismo Is Coming…To Your PS3

This machine is so incredibly awesome, it simply can’t exist in real life.

When Gran Turismo 6 comes out for the PS3 (you’ve already picked one up one of those, right?) on December 6, you can expect insane graphics, sophisticated gameplay, and the awesomest fake car you’ll ever lay eyes on. Designed specifically for the latest installment of the definitive racing video game—Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi asked the world’s leading auto manufacturers to create vehicle concepts to mark the series’ 15th anniversary—the Mercedes AMG Vision Gran Turismo is the supercar to end all supercars. 

Besides its drool-worthy exterior, inspired by theSilver Arrow Mercedes race carsof the ’50s, the Vision Gran Turismo rolls real fast courtesy of a twin-turbocharged 5.5-liter V8 that delivers 577 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque. As GordenWagener, vice president of design at Daimler AG, puts it, “The design of this concept car reflects to extreme effect the perfect symbiosis between emotional, sensuous contours, and intelligently presented high tech.” Considering how much we love real-life Mercedes supercars, we’re expecting the Vision Gran Turismo to have a permanent place in our virtual garage.
