The uber-exclusive Mercedes-AMG G 65 is getting even more exclusive in the twilight of production of the German luxury military truck, with the introduction of the G 65 Final Edition, which will be limited to only 65 examples worldwide.

The 630-horsepower twin-turbo V12 G 65 Final Edition’s $364,000 price tag is also likely to contribute to its exclusivity as the G-Wagen end a production run that started in 1979.

The G 65 Final Edition is differentiated from other G 65’s by its bronze-hued 21‑inch 5‑twin-spoke aluminum wheels, silver brake calipers and AMG Sport trim strips on the sides.

Additional matte bronze include the grille surround, underride guard, and trim elements in the bumpers, wheels, side mirrors and the insert in the obsidian black spare wheel cover.

Inside, look for the designo Exclusive package in designo black nappa leather with seat side bolsters in a carbon-fibre look and light brown  top stitching. There are carbon-fiber trim elements with bronze stitching.

The Seat Comfort package, including heated and cooled multicontour front seats and climatised seats, ensures that the cabin feels as good as it looks.

No matter how great its replacement turns out to be, we will surely miss the original G-Wagen when it is gone.
