Taking Porsche’s 718 range to head-turning new heights.

Can the pair of contemporary sports car classics that constitute Porsche’s 718 Cayman/Boxster lineup get more stylish? A new Style Edition says, “Yes.”

The trim’s standard equipment includes 20-inch 718 Spyder wheels in high-gloss black with colored Porsche crests, black pipes and high-gloss silver “PORSCHE” script in front of the rear air duct.

To showcase the upgrade, the German marque dressed the Boxster convertible seen here in a vivid Ruby Star Neo—a heritage hue from the 911’s early-90s generation.

However, this Ruby Boxster is kitted with an optional Style Edition contrast package that renders the rims in high-gloss white and adds a color-matched hood stripe—black is also available.

Inside, all Style Edition models receive a heated, leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel, contrast stitching on the seats and floor mats, headrests embossed with the Porsche crest, and illuminated stainless steel door sill guards.

The Style Edition is essentially a semi-custom add-on to the base 718 Boxster convertible and Cayman coupe, which are powered by a zippy, turbo-charged 2.0-liter four cylinder developing 300 hp.

Porsche continues to fight the good fight by offering a six-speed manual as standard, but an optional seven-speed automatic and Sport Chrono package will bring down the zero-to-60-mph time from 4.9 to 4.5 seconds.

U.S. pricing hasn’t been revealed, but Car and Driver expects a few-thousand-dollar hike over the Cayman and Boxster’s $64,650 and $66,950 stickers. Orders open up in 2023.
