Ford Goes Back to the Future With Sweet Retro Styling Tweaks for the 2018 Mustang

Ford tries to keep the Mustang fresh by periodically revisiting or dropping various design cues from the pony car’s illustrious history. For the slightly restyled 2018 Mustang, Ford will offer an optional Pony Package for EcoBoost engine-powered Mustangs (this means not a GT or GT350). Ford will wrap the running horse grille emblem in a chrome surround that Mustang zealots have come to call the “corral.”

When searching for a cleaner, more contemporary look, Ford eliminates the corral as clutter, but when they want some differentiation, they resurrect the corral as heritage. It last appeared in 2015 as part of the car’s 50th-anniversary package.

Revology Mustang - The romantic shapes of sixties American cars are unparalleled; the build quality of sixties American cars is uninspiring. That’s why Revology takes a Ford-licensed 1965 body and underpins it with a modern chassis and a big, ol’ 5.0 making numbers a real 1965 could only dream of.
This Revology 1965 Mustang carries the original style corralled running horse grille emblem.

The 2018 Pony Package also includes 19-inch polished aluminum wheels, chrome trim for fastback model, special carpeted floor mats with ebony embroidered pony logo, side stripes on lower body sides and a classic red/white/blue tri-bar Mustang badge on rear trunk lid.
