Riva Celebrates Maritime Legacy With ‘Anniversario’ Luxury Powerboat

It’s two timeless speedboats in one immaculately designed package.

Riva is paying tribute to the historic Aquarama and its more modern Aquariva heir with the new Anniversario in celebration of the immaculate powerboats’ 60th and 20th anniversaries.

The exterior 60s-era styling is informed most by the younger Aquariva, with a stern platform concealed by streamlined hull sides and clean figures. The aquamarine waterline and steel bow cap joined by lateral classic steel-bracketed searchlights channel the elder Aquarama.

Meanwhile, Metallic Brown is a brand new coat the plays against gloss varnished mahogany, Riva’s aquamarine and optical white upholstery, and various other pieces of steel trim. More classically-influenced modernity comes via side handrails with a steel base clad in mahogany.

Stepping aboard, the aft section is occupied by a leather sun pad housing two YANMAR 8 LV engines delivering 740 combined horsepower—enough for a brisk top speed of 40.5 knots (47 mph) and a 155-mile range.

The helm station features two 12-inch digital displays and integrated navigation instruments, as well as Aquarama-inspired touches like a Vienna straw storage pocket on the captain’s seat.

Behind the cockpit is a U-shaped sofa with seating for eight surrounding a table that can be lowered to create one giant sundeck.

Only 18 Riva Anniversarios will be built, the first of which will donated to soccer legend David Beckham’s “7 Fund for UNICEF,” with all proceeds benefitting vulnerable and disadvantaged youths in El Salvador.

Interested parties can bid on the charity model here through February 16, or reach out to Riva to inquire about commissioning one of the remaining 17.
