The Fantastic 5,700 HP Spectre Is One of the World’s Fastest Superyachts

Talk about a Bond-worthy boat.

The insane new 98-ft. Spectre from Italy’s AB Yachts is the kind of vessel that even 007 would be awed by. One of the fastest yachts in the world, it was just completed at the company’s boatyard in Viareggio equipped with three MAN engines – i.e. one more than usual – each delivering 1,900 hp for an eye-popping total of 5,700 hp.

That’s enough juice to take it to 54 knots, about double the speed of most comparable craft on the water. Handy for evading evil geniuses or just smoking out of Monaco after the Grand Prix with a boat full of blondes and bubbly.

The yacht will make it’s public debut at the Cannes Yacht Show in September where she’ll be offered for sale to qualified buyers for $25 million-plus. 

In addition to the cockpit a second steering position is located on the flybridge where an L-shaped sofa and two sunbeds can also be found for an open-air experience.

The foredeck features two coffee tables, a spacious U-shaped sofa and another comfortable sunbed, while the aft cockpit features a large dining table for eight guests.

Interior space is maximized through the use of minimalistic furniture, an open plan layout and “an abundance of bright surfaces to have guest areas appear even larger,” according to Superyacht Times.

Below decks Spectre can accommodate six guests in a full beam master suite and a additional guest cabins, along with a suitable sized crew.

Just be sure to salute when you blow past Commander Bond.
